This Privacy Policy explains what information Haulseum collects, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — if you create an account, used for authentication and to follow up on collection requests.
- Collection data — which items you own or have available for swap, stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our servers if you are signed in.
- Collection requests — the name, URL, and any notes you submit when requesting a new collection.
We do not collect location data, contacts, camera access, or any other device data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To sync your collection data across your devices.
- To follow up on collection requests you submit.
- To maintain and improve the app.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Data Storage
Collection data is stored locally on your device at all times. If you are signed in, a copy is also stored on our servers hosted within the EU. We retain synced data for as long as your account is active.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Resend to send transactional emails (e.g. collection request notifications). Resend processes email addresses in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email support@haulseum.com and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@haulseum.com. On deletion, all synced data associated with your account is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
7. Children
Haulseum is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
